Well-being is a word that’s bandied about quite a lot these days so it’s worth taking a moment to look at what it means.
At its simplest, well-being is about how we feel about ourselves and covers both our emotional and our physical health. It’s also to do with how we interact with others, how we respond in social situations – how confident we feel when talking to others.
Confidence is easily lost, and difficult to regain. Hopefully our Well-being Programme will help you with that.
The NHS identifies 5 routes to improving well-being
Our Well-being sessions at Maura Place will give you an opportunity to connect with others who have had similar experiences, women who will need no explanation from you, who know what you’ve been through because they’ve been through something similar themselves. It is a safe and supportive environment.
When you ring our helpline one of the questions you will be asked is whether you would like to opt-in to our Well-being Newsletter and by doing so you will hear about new opportunities, groups and activities as they arise
