Donating Items

We are always deeply grateful when people think of us while passing on unwanted items, and we truly appreciate the generosity and desire to support the women and children in our services. To help us make the best use of your kindness, we kindly ask that you contact us in advance before bringing any donations, so we can check what we’re currently able to accept.

Unfortunately, there are certain items we cannot take for hygiene or health and safety reasons.
We are unable to accept:

• Car seats and booster seats
• Pushchairs, prams, and strollers unless they have a full 5‑point safety harness and meet current UK safety regulations
• Used mattresses
• Used duvets and pillows
• Used safety helmets (e.g., cycling, sports)
• Used electrical items of any kind
• Make‑up or cosmetics (unless brand new, sealed, and in original packaging)
• Toys (including soft toys) without required safety labels (e.g., CE/UKCA tags)
• Opened or used toiletries
• Used breast pumps or feeding equipment
• Used children's shoes except wellies, jellies and flip-flops (due to health and safety concerns regarding foot development)
• Any other item that cannot be safely sanitised
